The Beacon of Hope Outreach Center is an official certifying organization with the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation created by President George W. Bush.

As a certifying organization, BHOC awards the President’s Volunteer Service Awards on behalf of the President to qualified individuals and groups who meet certain hourly requirements within a 12-month period.

Recipients qualify for the award every 12-months, and receive the following:

What Do Recipients Receive?

• An official President’s Volunteer Service Award pin

• A personalized certificate of achievement

• A note of congratulations from the President of the United States

• A letter from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation

The letters and certificate are framed for display and presented at our annual Volunteer Service Banquet to be held each Spring for the previous calendar year.
